So we’ve just done a massive clean out of our studio and we’ve decided to sell a whole bunch of dolls/doll clothes and shoes/doll furniture that we don’t need anymore so that we have room for new stuff. *SAM AND MICKEY FACTS* Just wanted to take a minute to express some baby Krissy appreciation. Yes, Krissy was an official ‘little sister’ of Barbie, released in 1999. We both remember when she was released in stores and being super excited about it. And then, in 2001, she vanished for unknown reasons and everyone more or less forgot about her. This actual history of Krissy is what we base her character on - she’s the 'little sister’ who is forgotten and abandoned by everyone, hence why she is often in the background of scenes, causing trouble without anyone realising it. Well, that’s part of the reason. The other reason is that we like to put as little focus on her as possible because she is honestly the HARDEST CHARACTER TO ANIMATE. Seriously, she’s an absolute nightmare. But, you know, a very very cute nightmare. 😉 So, does anyone else think Mattel should rerelease baby Krissy? We sure do!! Easy Lentil Soup Feb 21st 2016, 11:00, by Lori Lange Here's a comforting meal for you: Easy Lentil Soup Of the zillion soup recipes I've been trying this winter, this easy lentil soup recipe is my favorite. I'm pretty sure I've said that about every soup recipe I've made, but I seriously love this one. The lentils are healthy and filling. It's the perfect soup to make on a Sunday afternoon, and store in the refrigerator for the week to scoop out a cup for lunch each day. This soup is Weight Watchers friendly too. One serving is almost 2 cups- 261 calories and 6 Weight Watchers SmartPoints. I'll be making this one again and again! PrintRecipe Yield: 8 servings (1 3/4 cups per serving) Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutes Easy Lentil Soup Ingredients: 10 cups reduced-sodium beef broth 1 pound dried lentils, picked over, rinsed & drained 4 large carrots, peeled and finely chopped 1 large onion, peeled and finely chopped 2 large celery stalks, finely chopped 2 bay leaves One 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, with juice 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar freshly ground black pepper 1 to 2 cups hot water chopped chives for garnish, optional Directions: In a large pot, combine the broth, lentils, carrots, onions, celery, and bay leaves; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, until the lentils and vegetables are tender (about 30 minutes). Add the tomatoes (with juice), vinegar and pepper. Add the water (amount depending on how much soupy broth you desire). Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have blended, 10 minutes. Sprinkle individual servings with chives, if desired. Tips: If you are preparing this recipe as GLUTEN FREE, just be sure to use a brand of beef broth that is known to be GF. You can actually add all of the tomatoes from the can, if you'd like… since tomatoes are zero points on the Weight Watchers SmartPoints program. So our latest film “The Future” has been in the making for a looooong time; it was something we originally started brainstorming about 3 years ago, so to see the phenomenal reaction we have gotten in only a few days of it being released has been incredible. Thank you guys so much!! Here’s a cute pic of a future Skipper and Anslem. This Skipper was a complete mod - we found a doll with a face that looked like Skipper, cut her hair off, rerooted her hair to be blonde and attached her head to a Barbie fashionista body. It’s definitely the most work we’ve ever done on a single doll! Fun fact: if you watch “The Hangover”, you’ll see Ken wearing the chunk of hair that we ended up rerooting into this doll.
